Security & Compliance
Yes. We use AES-256 encryption at rest, TLS 1.3 in transit, and store data in SOC 2 Type II certified facilities. All data is access-controlled per firm, and we never share or use your client data for any purpose outside your account. We're built for attorney-client privilege from the ground up.
Lapt is designed with ABA Model Rules and state bar requirements in mind. Automated communications are clearly identified, client data is siloed per firm, and all AI-assisted features keep a human attorney in the loop for substantive legal decisions.
You do. Your firm retains full ownership of all client data, intake records, and workflow configurations. If you ever leave Lapt, we provide a full data export in standard formats at no additional charge.
